I, too, am very fortunate to not have moved around much. In the Kothari and Mengestu stories we read, they want to break away from their cultural tradition of eating and try to start eating American food.
She’s having a tough time accepting her culture through lst because she grew up dinae America and doesn’t know any other life. Whether it’s with a particular sports teams or just in school, no one likes to be the odd one out.
