Many football clubs today sign sponsorship contracts with gambling operators. In Spain’s La Liga, the situation is similar, and as a result of the recent restrictions on displaying sponsored ads on kits, 8 out of 20 teams have been affected.
On June 11, Spanish football returns, but the country’s state of emergency will only end on June 21. Until that time, clubs will be forced to cover gambling operators’ logos on their uniforms or simply remove them. They are only allowed to be shown from 1:00 to 5:00.
This should not bring serious problems for sponsors and clubs, since in such a limited mode it will take only 10 days to work. Unless, of course, the Spanish government extends the state of emergency, which has already happened more than once.
