UK Gambling Commission suspends licenses of two companies

The UK Gambling Commission announces that it is suspending the licenses of betting and gambling companies Dynamic and Sportito due to refusal to integrate UK gambling self-exclusion scheme into their work – GamStop.

GamStop is a registration service that allows players to set controls to help restrict online gambling activity by preventing the use of gambling websites and applications operated by UK-licensed companies for the selection period. The service is free and available to consumers in the United Kingdom.

Dynamic and Sportito were reportedly unable to implement the measures despite being warned about the introduction of the GamStop self-exclusion scheme about three months ago.

Sportito is a Daily Fantasy Sports platform that launched in 2016 and gives players the opportunity to win real cash prizes on a daily basis in available competitions such as the Premier League, Championship, Bundesliga, La Liga and World Cup. According to the Gambling Commission, after the suspension of the license, this company still implemented a self-exclusion tool, but the Commission is still reviewing its activities.

With regard to Dynamic, its license suspension will remain in effect until the regulator is satisfied that the gambling operator has successfully integrated the GamStop scheme and that its activities are in full compliance with the provisions of the UK Gambling Act.
