UK regulator responds to allegations of “toothlessness”

To recent allegations that the gambling regulator is "toothless" and does not fulfill its obligations, the Gambling Commission replied that there is always something to work on. They are working on various problems and intend to make more progress in solving them.

Over the past two years, we have strengthened player protections, tightened online sector regulation, introduced stringent age and identity verification requirements, banned gambling with credit cards, and tightened enforcement.

We admitted to the committee that there is always work to be done, and we are carefully reviewing their findings, as presented in the report, to see what additional steps we can take.
